Kyra Minturn
Kyra Minturn (born August 19, 1965) is an American actress. She is most famous for her part as the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson in the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick was awarded a Golden Globe Award in 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson and also an Emmy Award 2010 for her portrayal. The show ended after the seventh season. Sedgwick is also famous for her recurring role in Brooklyn Nine-Nine's sitcom Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick was nominated for an Golden Globe award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other film roles include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's Ones (1992) as well as Heart and Souls-1993), Phenomenon (1996) and What's Cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick was born New York City to Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), who is a speech/family therapist, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick who is a venture capitalist. Her mother, who was Jewish was of English and Episcopalian heritage. Sedgwick has declared herself Jewish and has said that she attends Passover seders.
